Last weekend, one of our team members and photographer Léa collaborated with her friend Ben for a photo shoot across our beloved city of Philadelphia. Our aim was to capture some of the style and culture that we are surrounded with wearing some of our favorite Thread Society gear. These two got to climb around on a rooftop overlooking the city, have a good laugh trying to use the camera’s self-timer setting to get the both of them in a shot, and see some really beautiful street art. Do you love your city? Tell us where you represent! Maybe we’ll pick it as our next destination for a charitable excursion.

TSBEANIEWe received a lot of requests to bring back our winter accessories, namely the TS Beanie, so we did. Now you can feel as cool as all the kids at Trevor’s Campaign in Philly who got them donated last year thanks to you all.

Snowpocalypse 2014: Philly

Apparel, Charity, Mascotts, Pets, Shirt for Shirt

nosefroze

January 2014 has been quite the snowy start for all of us here in Philadelphia at Thread Societies headquarters! On Wednesday the 22nd, we had 13-14 inches of snow across the entire city and we’ve broken the record of snowfall before February 1st with a total of 33.7 inches so far this winter! And we’ve had more snow since! How many times can we get over 6 inches this year? We’re at 3 right now, and we could use a few more snow days, don’t you think?

The polar vortex that swept the country a couple seeks ago made the snow even more unbearable with plummeting temperatures. In January we have only seen 5 days that the temperature didn’t fall below freezing.

If you’re freezing you’re butt off too, pick up some super soft and cozy long-sleeves, hoodies and sweaters at www.ThreadSociety.com. Shop from the comfort of your home without having to dig your car out of the snow or strap on your boots and jacket. If you are lucky enough to be in a warmer climate, we have plenty of tee’s and tanks on sale too! Stay warm and cozy #ThreadHeads!

Update on PCA & Thread Society: Making a Difference

Apparel, Behind the Scenes, Charity, Shirt for Shirt

We mentioned awhile back that we partnered with Philadelphia Children’s Alliance for their amazing program that helps children who have been victims of sexual abuse. Many of the children come into PCA with nothing and we wanted to give them all something of their own to comfort them and ease the transition.  We provided blankets and bags for the children as part of care packages given to them on their way to a new start and a better life. Below is the article published in the Juniata News about the program and a photo of the bags and blankets we donated to the cause. If you haven’t heard of us before, we are an online clothing company that provides soft apparel at affordable prices. photojuniata112613

We encourage others to get involved and help make a difference this holiday season. Thank you to all of our partners and supporters for making this possible. For more information about Thread Society and our charitable ventures, visit us at www.threadsociety.com.
